Welcoming two new Trustees

YWCS is an organisation run by women, for women. We’re delighted to announce the appointment of two new volunteer Trustees who joined YWCS at our February Board meeting this year. They bring a wealth of experience to the team and we are honoured that they have chosen to use their skills to support women in York.

Anjelika Finnegan is a qualified Independent Domestic Violence Advisor, and a passionate advocate for the safety, health and wellbeing of all women, especially those recovering from trauma. She has held management and strategic positions within policy, research and frontline practice across a range of sectors.

Laila Hamade has always been interested in working in services to support mental health. With experience on the student mental health sphere and in commissioning and service development, her expertise will help us better deliver our support for women.

You can read more about both our Trustees here, and if you’d like to enquire about joining the team, please get in touch directly with our Chair of Trustees, Susie Braithwaite.
