How do I request counselling?
You will be asked to provide some basic details in order for us to process your request. Please be assured that the strictest confidentiality will be maintained and we will be discreet when returning calls.
PLEASE NOTE: the office is not staffed every day and so it may take us a few days to get back to you.
What happens next?
When we have received your contact details, we will contact you by phone or email and will let you know a date and time for an initial assessment.
What is an Initial Assessment?
The Inital Assessment allows us time to find out a little bit more about your reasons for wanting counselling
to make sure that we are the right service for you. It also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about our service and what you can expect.
We will also talk to you about contributions and what amount you feel able to donate towards the cost of your weekly counselling sessions.
Initial Assessments usually last between 30-45 minutes, the appointment is free and will take place on either a Monday or Wednesday during the daytime.
We do appreciate that it may sometimes be difficult to make this day/time, especially if you are working or have childcare responsibilities. Please note this will not be your regular appointment time.
Should you be accepted for counselling you will be offered an appointment time that fits with your availability.
The days and times which are best for you for your regular sessions with your Counsellor will be discussed at your Initial Assessment.
